one day as a lion

One Day as a Lion é uma banda formada por Zack De La Rocha (vocalista do Rage Against The Machine) e o baterista Jon Theodore (ex-The Mars Volta).

A to the Z

AZ first came to prominence by appearing on Nas' landmark album Illmatic on the song "Life's a Bitch" (1994)—he was the only guest emcee to appear on that album. After a bidding war, AZ signed with EMI, and soon released Doe Or Die (1995) to more critical acclaim than commercial sales. The album's lead single, "Sugar Hill", became AZ's only major commercial success as a solo artist, reaching the top 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and achieving Gold status. AZ's EMI contract was transferred to sister label Noo Trybe Records/Virgin Records when the EMI Label Group was shut down. In 1997, he and Nas appeared in a Sprite commercial. AZ signed with Motown/Universal Records and released 9 Lives. In 2002, he released Aziatic. A single from the album, "The Essence," was nominated for the 2003 Grammy Awards for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group. The video to its first single, "I'm Back" received moderate MTV2 play. AZ is of African-American and Dominican descent.

In 2004 AZ was going to release "Final Call". It got pushed back multiple times and heavily leaked until it was scrapped. Instead, A.W.O.L. was released in late 2005. Final Call was finally released on November 11, 2008.

the foundation

When I look you in your eyes I can see my own
Straight love manifested in flesh and bone
You's a breath of fresh air in this world of shit
You was born to be a soldier don't ever forget
You came from a long line of killers and drug dealers
Who forever smoke bud
So it's probably in your blood
Realize you can only run the streets so long
Then the streets run you into the ground then gone
It's kinda ruff trying to teach you what's right from wrong
Same shit different day
It's the same ol' song

XZIBIT!! What can i say???
"At the Speed of Life"

killarmy

Originally consisting of New York emcees 9th Prince (RZA's younger brother), Islord, Dom Pachino, Killa Sin, and Ohio-based producer 4th Disciple; it added Beretta 9 and ShoGun Assasson to its membership in 1996, also from Ohio. It distinguishes itself from the other affiliates with gritty subject matter, differing from the standard subject matter of martial arts common to Wu-Tang and their affiliates and focusing on themes of military and combat—but with a heavy dose of the Five-percenter philosophy prevalent in everything related to Wu-Tang Clan.

Killarmy released numerous singles from 1995 to 1997, including "Swinging Swords" and "Camouflage Ninjas" as well as the Sunz Of Man collaborations "Wake Up" and "Soldiers of Darkness." The album Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars was released in 1997 just after the release of Wu-Tang Clan's second album, as well as a 12-inch single containing two tracks from the album, which were "Wu-Renegades" and "Clash of the Titans." Shortly afterward, the group's manager General Wise was shot dead in Steubenville, Ohio, where several members were from and Wu-Tang members like the RZA had spent time in their youth and young adulthood, but the group pressed on undeterred, appearing on the Wu-Tang Killa Bees: The Swarm compilation and each making numerous appearances on other Wu-Tang projects from the Clansmen themselves and from other affiliates. The group's second album, Dirty Weaponry, was released in 1998 and their third and final album, Fear, Love & War was released on September 11, 2001.
